During a
synchronization (or
sync) Amanuens scans the source code repository for changes, updated translations data and notifying translators of strings that require attention because they've been updated or are new.
During a
commit Amanuens pushes translated files back into the source code repository, creating a new
data revision.
Manual Synchronization
To perform a manual synchronization, click on a translation's
Actions menu and select
Manual sync, then click on
Start sync.
Note: if you did not save repository access credentials, you'll have to enter them now.
When the sync is complete, you'll see a summary of what has changed and more importantly of which strings have been marked as untranslated either because the master value in the repository has changed or they are new.
Manual Commit
To perform a manual commit, click on a translation's
Actions menu and select
Commit changes, then click
Proceed.
Note: if you did not save repository access credentials, you'll have to enter them now.
When the commit is complete, you'll see a summary of what has changed.
Scheduling Automatic Sync and Commit¶
Scheduled sync and commit are set at the project level. To change the configuration, click on a project's
Actions menu and select
Auto sync+commit config. In the form you can specify the which time slot to use for the batch operation, the time zone as well as the weekly schedule of synchronization and commit.
For example, you can configure Amanuens to synchronize all translations every business day at 4am UTC+1 and to commit only on Fridays.
You can also execute a batch synchronization and commit (for all translations) manually. To do so, click on a project's
Actions menu and select
Batch sync+commit.
