As soon as you
configured a project, you can start assigning translations.
Purchasing a Translation From Amanuens (or Just Getting a Free Quote)
Click on the

button and then select
To a translation agency in the popup (see below).

After selecting the
target language, you'll be presented with options to select the agency and the service level. When you click on

you'll be asked to read data from your source code repository, as this picture shows.

Specify the format used to specify the language code
code in file names, the click on
Proceed. As soon as Amanuens completes the analysis, you'll see a page that allows you to manage individual files (see
below). If you click on

to view the quote for the translation, as shown below.

If your account balance is sufficient, you'll see an
Accept quote button, otherwise you'll be prompted to
purchase credit.
Assigning a Translation to One of Your Translators
Click on the

button and then select
To one of my translators/users in the popup (see below).

Specify the
target language and the format used to specify its
code in file names. Then, select an assignee and click on
Assign translation.

Note: if you did not save repository access credentials during
project creation, you'll have to enter them now.
The assignee will receive an email notification with the information needed to begin working on the translation, and you'll be redirected to a view that allows to manage files (see
next section).
Managing Translation Files
To access the file management section, click on a translation's
Actions menu and select
Manage translation files.

The screen allows you to:
- mark files as fully translated
- view the file in read-only mode (see below)
- scan the source code repository to fetch new files
- remove languages, in case the translation contains more than one
- remove files.
Writing Instructions for Translators
Translator instructions are a way to give translators more details about what they're working on. Instructions can be set for individual strings in the
read-only view.
The
read-only view of a translation can be accessed either from the
File Management screen or from the
Dashboard, using the

button.
To specify instructions, click on the

. Fill out the text box in the popup and then click
Save.
